Contemporary styling, rich contrast and a distinctive texture. Not only is Tantalum known for its color, but it is hypoallergenic, inert, rust proof and durable. This space age metal is ideal for jewelry and while it is challenging to work with, the results speak for themselves. The texture on the surface of this band has been developed with our exclusive diamond hammering process. We use real diamonds to repeatedly strike the surface of the ring and imprint the diamonds natural crystal texture into the softer metal. The interior of the band is finished to perfection and like all of our rings it has generously rounded edges and a comfort fit.

However, working with tantalum presents substantial challenges due to its extremely high melting point, low thermal conductivity and unwillingness to be machined. This requires the expertise of skilled artisans well-versed in its properties and limitations. Machining and hand crafting tantalum demands a comprehensive understanding of its behavior while using different tools and under many conditions, adding to its allure as a material that requires intimate knowledge. As one of the first in the world to use tantalum for jewelry purposes, we have devoted the time and invested in the tooling and knowledge needed to work with this impressive metal.
